{"id":28343,"date":"2024-01-17T00:03:26","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T00:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/ace-frehleys-issues-with-the-irs-keeping-him-from-touring-europe\/"},"modified":"2024-01-17T00:03:26","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T00:03:26","slug":"ace-frehleys-issues-with-the-irs-keeping-him-from-touring-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/ace-frehleys-issues-with-the-irs-keeping-him-from-touring-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Ace Frehley\u2019s issues with the IRS keeping him from touring Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/Getty_AceFrehley_011624.png\" alt=\"\"><figcaption>Gary Miller\/Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Ace Frehley<\/strong>\u00a0is about to release his new solo album,\u00a0<em>10,000 Volts,<\/em>\u00a0on February 23, but his fans overseas may have to wait a bit before they get to see him play any of the songs live.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chaoszine.net\/i-can-play-rings-around-paul-stanley-on-guitar-i-can-even-sing-better-than-him-and-dont-have-to-use-backing-tracks-interview-with-ace-frehley\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">chaoszine<\/a>, the former\u00a0<strong>KISS<\/strong>\u00a0guitarist reveals that he hopes to tour Europe this summer, although he has some problems to fix first.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, there\u2019s a good chance I can make it to Europe in late summer if I get my passport renewed,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been having issues with renewing my passport because I have some problems with the IRS, and it\u2019s not really the passport bureau but the IRS.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Frehley says he owes the IRS more than $50,000 and until he pays he won\u2019t be able to renew his passport. He has attorneys\u00a0working on the issue, but if\u00a0they can&#8217;t\u00a0fix things he\u2019s hoping\u00a0to head overseas\u00a0next summer. He adds, &#8220;But I\u2019d love it to be this summer because it\u2019s been too long since I did all the festivals there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But while European fans will have to wait,\u00a0folks in the U.S. will have several chances to see\u00a0Frehley live. He&#8217;ll be hitting the road starting January 25 in Frankfort, Kentucky. In the interview he notes that while he still has a decent relationship with\u00a0<strong>Gene Simmons<\/strong>, the same can\u2019t be said for\u00a0<strong>Paul Stanley<\/strong>, noting he doesn\u2019t think much about Stanley\u2019s abilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, I can play rings around Paul Stanley on guitar,\u201d he shared. \u201cI can even sing better than him and don\u2019t have to use backing tracks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
