Sammy Hagar<\/strong>\u00a0is set to auction off his custom 2015\u00a0Ferrari\u00a0LaFerrari at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Auction, beginning Saturday at WestWorld in Arizona. And while he\u00a0has had second thoughts about his decision, he\u00a0tells ABC Audio that passing it on is the right thing to do.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t deserve to own it anymore because it’s too much car for me,\u201d the 76-year-old says. \u201cI mean, at my age, that car is so fast. You have to recalibrate your brain when you get in.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sammy\u00a0believes\u00a0that holding onto it is like keeping a classic piece of artwork.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThings like that you shouldn’t own. You shouldn’t die with that in your possession,\u201d he says. \u201cYou should pass it on to someone else that can appreciate it. That’s kind of the way I feel about this car. It’s that special.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co.\u00a0premium sparkling rum canned cocktails<\/a>\u00a0will be making their Arizona debut as the \u201cpresenting sponsor\u201d of the\u00a0auction. Sammy\u2019s confident fans will love them, because he does.<\/p>\n

Sammy insists he\u2019s very involved in the development of all his liquor and cocktails, noting, \u201cThe look and feel, how it’s going to taste, 100% comes from my tongue, my palate, my stomach, what I like.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, that\u2019s\u00a0Sammy’s motto when it comes to any of his business ventures. \u201cYou please yourself, you say, ‘This is what I like,’\u201d rather than creating something because you think others will like it. He notes, \u201cTo go into business like that to me would be ludicrous.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
