{"id":28368,"date":"2024-01-18T18:01:06","date_gmt":"2024-01-18T18:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/nyc-fans-express-themselves-sue-madonna-for-late-concert-start\/"},"modified":"2024-01-18T18:01:06","modified_gmt":"2024-01-18T18:01:06","slug":"nyc-fans-express-themselves-sue-madonna-for-late-concert-start","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/nyc-fans-express-themselves-sue-madonna-for-late-concert-start\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC fans express themselves, sue Madonna for late concert start"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/M_MadonnacloseupRicardoGomes_121423.jpg\" alt=\"\"><figcaption>Ricardo Gomes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Madonna<\/strong>\u00a0has a reputation for starting her concerts late, but two New York City men feel they were so inconvenienced by her late start time, they&#8217;re suing her.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Fellows<\/strong>\u00a0of Brooklyn and<strong>\u00a0Jonathan Hadden<\/strong>\u00a0of the Bronx bought tickets for Madonna\u2019s December 13 Celebration Tour concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n<p>The tickets said the show would begin at 8:30 p.m., but Madonna did not take the stage until sometime after 10:45 p.m. The men said they were \u201cconfronted with limited public transportation, limited ride-sharing, and\/or increased public and private transportation costs\u201d by the time the show let out at 1 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows and Hadden also complained the concert was no &#8220;Holiday&#8221; because \u201cthey had to get up early to go to work and\/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day.\u201d They\u2019re suing Madonna, Live Nation and Barclays Center for \u201cunconscionable, unfair, and\/or deceptive trade practices\u201d for offering to the public concerts that were promised to begin at 8:30 p.m., knowing Madonna would not take the stage at the advertised start time.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed in Brooklyn federal court, seeks class action status because the men said it is their belief other Celebration Tour concerts began similarly late. Indeed, Madonna&#8217;s second concert at Barclays Center on December 16 also started around 10:45 p.m. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
