Van Halen<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0David Lee Roth<\/strong>\u00a0has fired some shots at his replacement\u00a0Sammy Hagar<\/strong>\u00a0in a\u00a0new post shared to his\u00a0Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the clip titled \u201cThe Ballad of Popsicle Sam,\u201d\u00a0Roth uses Hagar\u2019s 2011 claim that he was visited by aliens to try and explain some of Hagar\u2019s behavior toward him over the years. He suggests Hagar’s conduct is a result of him being sex probed.<\/p>\n

Hagar has said some disparaging things about Roth over the years. In a 2023 interview on\u00a0Steve-O<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Wild Ride<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>,\u00a0Hagar\u00a0said Roth didn\u2019t care about his voice and called his singing embarrassing.<\/p>\n

Despite \u201ca constant fart gas aimed” in his direction, Roth insisted he’s\u00a0never \u201csaid a single syllable about\u201d Sammy. “I think we\u2019ve arrived at both the technical and the medical answer that may explain some of Sammy Hagar\u2019s conduct and his constant spew of diarrhea vitriol in our direction,\u201d he wrote, revealing, \u201cSammy Hagar was abducted by aliens and he was sex probed. Sex probed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Roth then questioned what sex probing entails, before offering, \u201cWhat I do know with absolute accuracy is that if you take a half of a popsicle and you jam it into a cassette tape player, no matter how carefully you extract it, that tape player will never play the same again, no matter how carefully you try and fix those delicate little parts. And it\u2019ll get worse and it\u2019ll seem like the singer that you used to [be] will stop making sense whatsoever. A lot like Sam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hagar’s set to launch his\u00a0The Best of All World Tours<\/a>\u00a0on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he plans to\u00a0celebrate\u00a0Van Halen’s music. He’s invited Roth to stop by, but after these comments, who knows what the chances of that happening will be.<\/p>\n
