Cher<\/strong>\u00a0is paying tribute to her\u00a0Moonstruck<\/em>\u00a0director,\u00a0Norman Jewison<\/strong>, who died\u00a0January 20 at the age of 97.<\/p>\n

“Farewell Sweet Prince,” she\u00a0wrote on Twitter<\/a>. “Thank U For One Of The Greatest, Happiest, Most Fun Experiences Of My Life. Without U, I Would Not Have My Beautiful Golden Man.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cher won the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in\u00a0Moonstruck<\/em>. It also won Oscars for Cher’s co-star\u00a0Olympia Dukakis<\/strong>\u00a0and for Best Original Screenplay.<\/p>\n

“Norman U Made Moonstruck The GREAT FILM,” she continued. “Ppl, Script, Actors, Etc, NEEDED U DEAR.”<\/p>\n

She concluded, “NORMAN JEWISON LIVES ON THROUGH HIS WORK.”<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0Moonstruck<\/em>, Jewison directed dozens of additional films, including\u00a0Fiddler on the Roof, Rollerball, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Soldier’s Story, …And Justice for All\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Thomas Crown Affair.<\/em><\/p>\n
