Elton John<\/strong>,\u00a0Eric Clapton<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sting<\/strong>\u00a0are among the artists lending their voices to a reimagining of the late\u00a0Glen Campbell<\/strong>\u2019s farewell album,\u00a0Ghosts on the Canvas<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Glen Campbell Duets – Ghost on the Canvas Sessions<\/em>\u00a0recreates the songs on the album\u00a0as duets, using Campbell\u2019s original vocals. Other artists singing with Glen include\u00a0Carole King<\/strong>,\u00a0Brian Wilson<\/strong>,\u00a0Dolly Parton<\/strong>,\u00a0Daryl Hall<\/strong>, punk band\u00a0X<\/strong>,\u00a0Linda Perry<\/strong>,\u00a0Eric Church<\/strong>,\u00a0Brian Setzer<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Hope Sandoval<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But the talent isn\u2019t limited to the singers.\u00a0The Smashing Pumpkins<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0Billy Corgan<\/strong>,\u00a0Foo Fighters<\/strong>\u00a0drummer\u00a0Josh Freese<\/strong>,\u00a0Eurythmics<\/strong>‘\u00a0Dave Stewart<\/strong>,\u00a0Cheap Trick<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Rick Neilsen<\/strong>,\u00a0Chris Chaney<\/strong>,\u00a0The Dandy Warhols<\/strong>,\u00a0Prince and the Revolution<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Wendy Melvoin<\/strong>,\u00a0Chris Isaak<\/strong>\u00a0and more contributed to the project.<\/p>\n

Fans are getting the first taste of the record with the just-released Clapton-assisted single, \u201cNothing But the Whole Wide World.”<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve always admired Glen Campbell’s guitar playing and loved his singing,\u201d Clapton shares. \u201cWhen I was asked to sing and play with Glen on the song\u00a0Jakob Dylan<\/strong>\u00a0wrote, it all just felt right, and I am happy to be part of it.”<\/p>\n

Campbell released\u00a0Ghosts on the Canvas<\/em>\u00a0in 2011 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s disease. He announced his condition to the public ahead of the launch of his Goodbye Tour and\u00a0passed away from the disease in 2017.\u00a0 He was 81.<\/p>\n

Glen Campbell Duets – Ghost on the Canvas Sessions<\/em>\u00a0will be released April 19 and is\u00a0available for preorder<\/a>\u00a0now.\u00a0<\/p>\n
