It\u00a0includes a variety of allegations, with the suit claiming\u00a0Leigh and Frey \u201chave effectively shut down the entire company&#8221; due to disputes, personal attacks and more.<\/p>\n<p>But one of the main issues is the planned Ramones film, with the suit\u00a0arguing the pair \u201cunilaterally and covertly developed an unapproved and unauthorized Ramones-based biopic\u201d based on Mickey\u2019s memoir,\u00a0<em>I Slept with Joey Ramone.\u00a0<\/em>The suit calls the film\u00a0a \u201cone-sided recitation of the history of the Ramones,&#8221; with Linda also\u00a0objecting to\u00a0the planned use of Ramones music in the film.<\/p>\n<p>Although\u00a0the suit doesn\u2019t go into specific details about the movie, there is a film based on Mickey\u2019s book in development with Netflix, with\u00a0<strong>Pete Davidson<\/strong>\u00a0set to star as Joey Ramone.<\/p>\n<p>The suit says Linda objects to any film without her involvement, noting, \u201cTo permit defendants alone to tell the authoritative story of the Ramones would be an injustice to the band and its legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
