{"id":28529,"date":"2024-01-27T12:02:12","date_gmt":"2024-01-27T12:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/jon-anderson-sounds-hopeful-about-a-reunion-with-former-yes-bandmates\/"},"modified":"2024-01-27T12:02:12","modified_gmt":"2024-01-27T12:02:12","slug":"jon-anderson-sounds-hopeful-about-a-reunion-with-former-yes-bandmates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/jon-anderson-sounds-hopeful-about-a-reunion-with-former-yes-bandmates\/","title":{"rendered":"Jon Anderson sounds hopeful about a reunion with former Yes bandmates"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/Getty_JonAnderson_012624.jpg\" alt=\"\"><figcaption>Scott Dudelson\/Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Although\u00a0<strong>Yes<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0<strong>Steve Howe<\/strong>\u00a0has said in past interviews that a reunion with his Yes bandmate\u00a0<strong>Jon Anderson<\/strong>\u00a0seems unlikely to happen, Anderson appears to be more hopeful.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a new interview with\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mojo4music.com\/articles\/new-music\/jon-anderson-interviewed-i-still-think-im-part-of-yes\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mojo<\/a><\/em>, Anderson suggested that a reunion of Yes, with both Howe and\u00a0<strong>Rick Wakeman<\/strong>, isn\u2019t totally out of the question.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was talking to [his current touring band]\u00a0<strong>The Band Geeks<\/strong>\u00a0and said, &#8216;Hopefully we can play in London and Steve will get up and do a couple of songs with us, maybe Rick too,&#8217;\u201d Anderson shares, although he adds, \u201cIt just means\u00a0<em>talking.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0notes<em>, &#8220;<\/em>When I\u2019m out there singing on my own I still think I\u2019m part of Yes. They still feel like my songs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for his current relationship with Howe, Anderson says, \u201cWe\u2019re still friends but we\u2019re not connected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The last time Anderson performed with Howe and Wakeman was at the band\u2019s 2017 Rock\u00a0&amp; Roll Hall of Fame induction, but it was the first time he\u2019d played with Howe since the band\u2019s 35th anniversary tour in 2004.
