Earlier this month, the studio A24 teased an upcoming tribute album dedicated to\u00a0Talking Heads<\/strong>\u2019 classic soundtrack\u00a0Stop Making Sense<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 and now we finally\u00a0have some details.<\/p>\n

Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads\u2019 Stop Making Sense\u00a0<\/em>features 16 reworked versions of the songs on the soundtrack, from artists like\u00a0Paramore<\/strong>,\u00a0The National<\/strong>,\u00a0Miley Cyrus<\/strong>,\u00a0Lorde<\/strong>,\u00a0The Linda Lindas<\/strong>,\u00a0girl in red<\/strong>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

The first single released from the record is Paramore\u2019s take on the classic \u201cBurning Down The House,\u201d which is available now via\u00a0digital outlets<\/a>\u00a0and on\u00a0YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tribute album is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the movie and the soundtrack. The celebration kicked off with\u00a0A24\u2019s 4K restoration of the film debuting\u00a0at the Toronto Film Festival last September, which included a Q&A with the reunited band. It streamed live at IMAX theaters across the country, selling out 25 theaters to become IMAX’s highest-grossing live event.<\/p>\n

The film was also rereleased in theaters on January 27, with\u00a0monthly\u00a0screenings<\/a>\u00a0planned in cities like\u00a0Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.<\/p>\n

Considered by many to be the greatest concert film of all time,\u00a0Stop Making Sense,\u00a0<\/em>directed by\u00a0Jonathan Demme<\/strong>, was recorded over three shows at Hollywood\u2019s Pantages Theatre in December 1983; the documentary came out the following October.<\/p>\n

In addition to \u201cBurning Down the House,\u201d the soundtrack, released in September 1984, featured live performances of songs like \u201cPsycho Killer,\u201d \u201cOnce in a Lifetime\u201d and \u201cTake Me To the River.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
