Dead & Company<\/strong>\u00a0have confirmed the rumors \u2014 they will be playing Las Vegas\u2019 Sphere.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The band announced the news on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0in a video, which reads, “In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops.\u00a0And it’s gonna be a ball.”<\/p>\n

The video then cuts to the Sphere\u00a0lit up with tie-dye images and the Dead\u2019s skull logo, with a live version of \u201cNot Fade Away\u201d playing in the background. The word \u201cforever\u201d then flashes on the screen.<\/p>\n

Back in December, the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u00a0broke the news that Dead & Company \u2014\u00a0Bob Weir<\/strong>,\u00a0Mickey Hart<\/strong>,\u00a0Bill Kreutzmann<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>John Mayer<\/strong>,\u00a0Oteil Burbridge\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jeff Chimenti\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014\u00a0<\/strong>were in talks to play the Sphere, the state-of-the-art venue that currently houses\u00a0U2<\/strong>\u2019s residency,\u00a0U2: UV Acthung Baby Live at Sphere<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dead & Company have yet to announce details regarding dates or ticket information for the shows, but\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>\u00a0reports\u00a0they’re planning for at least 15 shows.<\/p>\n

The concerts will be the first Dead & Company shows since July, when the band wrapped what they announced would be their final tour with a three-night stand\u00a0at San Francisco’s Oracle Park.<\/p>\n
