The documentary\u00a0Kiss the Future<\/em>, featuring Irish rockers\u00a0U2<\/strong>, is set to open\u00a0exclusively in AMC theaters in the U.S. starting February 23, according to\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kiss the Future<\/em>, directed by\u00a0Nenad Cicin-Sain\u00a0<\/strong>and produced by\u00a0Matt Damon<\/strong>,\u00a0Ben Affleck\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sarah Anthony<\/strong>, is based on\u00a0Bill Carter<\/strong>\u2019s memoir\u00a0Fools Rush In<\/em>. It follows a group of underground musicians and creatives during the siege of Sarajevo, which lasted from April 1992 to February 1996. The doc includes footage of U2\u2019s memorable 1997 concert at Ko\u0161evo Stadium celebrating the country\u2019s liberation, along with interviews with\u00a0Bono<\/strong>,\u00a0The Edge\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Adam Clayton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to the theatrical release, AMC will host an early screening of the film on February 21, which will include a conversation with The Edge and Clayton.<\/p>\n

The film received its world premiere in February 2023 at the Berlin Film Festival and also opened New York\u2019s Tribeca Festival in June. It also screened at Sarajevo Film Festival\u2019s Open Air program, with Bono and The Edge\u00a0surprising the crowd with an a cappella rendition of\u00a0Bob\u00a0<\/strong>Marley<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cRedemption Song.”<\/p>\n

Following the AMC run,\u00a0Kiss the Future<\/em>\u00a0will stream on Paramount+ later in the year.<\/p>\n
