{"id":28745,"date":"2024-02-12T18:02:34","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/ac-dc-hitting-the-road-on-the-power-up-tour\/"},"modified":"2024-02-12T18:02:34","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:02:34","slug":"ac-dc-hitting-the-road-on-the-power-up-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/ac-dc-hitting-the-road-on-the-power-up-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"AC\/DC hitting the road on the Power Up tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-02-12\/Getty_ACDC_021224.jpg\" alt=\"\"><figcaption> Kevin Mazur\/Getty Images for Power Trip<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>teasing some big news for the past week,\u00a0<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>\u00a0has\u00a0finally spilled the beans and as many suspected, they&#8217;re hitting the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The rockers just announced dates for the Power Up tour, which will feature\u00a0<strong>Angus Young<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brian Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Steve Young<\/strong>,\u00a0joined by\u00a0<strong>Matt Laug<\/strong>\u00a0behind the drum kit in place of\u00a0<strong>Phil Rudd<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jane\u2019s Addiction<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Chris Chaney<\/strong>\u00a0filling in on bass for\u00a0<strong>Cliff Williams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The tour is set to kick off with a two-night stand in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, May 17 and 21, with the trek hitting Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium and France, before wrapping with an August 17 show at\u00a0Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>So far no U.S. dates have been announced. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, February 16. A complete schedule can be found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acdc.com\/ac-dc-power-up-tour-europe-2024\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">acdc.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>AC\/DC released their most recent album,\u00a0<em>Power Up,<\/em>\u00a0in 2020, but were unable to tour behind it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new\u00a0tour is their first trek since 2016, although they did return to the stage in October, headlining the Power Trip festival in Indio, California, alongside\u00a0<strong>Metallica<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Judas Priest\u00a0<\/strong>and more.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
