Nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were announced on Saturday, February 10, and several of this year\u2019s contenders have taken to social media to share their reactions to the news.<\/p>\n

Mick Jones<\/strong>, the only original member of\u00a0Foreigner<\/strong>\u00a0still touring with the band,\u00a0shared<\/a>, \u201cI deeply appreciate the recognition from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame committee. It is wonderful that FOREIGNER has maintained its presence all these years and brought the music to our fans.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cGetting this news today is an incredible endorsement of what we have achieved over time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peter Frampton<\/strong>\u00a0first joked<\/a>, \u201cWait, you mean I\u2019m not already in the @rockhall ?!” He then shared that he was “thrilled” with the nomination.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cFor a long time you, my friends, have been telling me I should be in it,”\u00a0he wrote<\/a>. ” So now that I\u2019m nominated, I\u2019m going to ask you a huge favour.\u201d He then asked fans to vote for him, noting, \u201cThen I\u2019ll see you in Cleveland this Fall. Thank you all!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>, who\u2019s already in the Hall as a member\u00a0of\u00a0Black Sabbath<\/strong>,\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0he\u2019s \u201cdeeply honored\u201d to be considered as a solo artist, noting it\u2019s \u201csomething I could never have imagined.\u201d He added, \u201cAfter 44 years as a solo artist the fact that I can continue to record music and receive this recognition is something I am incredibly proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally,\u00a0Lenny Kravitz<\/strong>\u00a0shared<\/a>, \u201cWoke up to this! Grateful to be nominated for this prestigious honor,\u00a0@rockhall<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hall of Fame fan vote is open until April 26; fans can vote for up to seven artists daily. Ozzy is currently in the lead, followed by Frampton and Foreigner.<\/p>\n

Inductees will be announced in April, and the 2024 induction ceremony will take place in Cleveland in the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n
