Ian Hunter<\/strong>\u00a0released his guest-filled album\u00a0Defiance Part 1<\/em>\u00a0last April, and now, almost a year later, he\u2019s ready to\u00a0unleash\u00a0Part 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Mott The Hoople\u00a0<\/strong>frontman will release\u00a0Defiance Part 2: Fiction<\/em>\u00a0on April 19 \u2014 and just like with his last record, he\u2019s enlisted some of his A-list friends for the project.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Defiance Part 2<\/em>\u00a0will once again feature the late\u00a0Jeff Beck<\/strong>\u00a0and the late\u00a0Foo Fighters<\/strong>\u00a0drummer\u00a0Taylor Hawkins<\/strong>, as well as\u00a0Def Leppard<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Joe Elliott<\/strong>,\u00a0Stone Temple Pilots<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0Dean\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Robert DeLeo<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Johnny Depp<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>who also\u00a0created the album’s cover.<\/p>\n

New guests on the album include Def Leppard\u2019s\u00a0Phil Collen<\/strong>,\u00a0Queen<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Brian May<\/strong>,\u00a0Cheap Trick<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Robin Zander<\/strong>,\u00a0Rick Nielsen<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Tom Petersson<\/strong>,\u00a0The Black Crowes<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0Chris<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Rich Robinson<\/strong>,\u00a0Pearl Jam<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Mike McCready<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Matt Cameron<\/strong>,\u00a0Lucinda Williams\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Heartbreakers<\/strong>‘\u00a0Benmont Tench<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hunter is giving fans their first preview of the record with the release of the new song \u201cPrecious,\u201d which features Hawkins on drums, Elliott on background vocals and May on guitar. You can\u00a0stream the song\u00a0now via\u00a0digital services<\/a>\u00a0and on\u00a0YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And Hunter has plans for even more music, revealing he\u2019s already hard at work on\u00a0Defiance Part 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never initiated this,\u201d Hunter says. \u201cIt just kind of just happened and it turned out great. So I\u2019m going to write some more songs and we\u2019ll see what happens again.\u201d<\/p>\n
