On This Day, February 20, 1974\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Steely Dan<\/strong> released their third studio album, <\/span>Pretzel Logic<\/span><\/em>, which was the last to feature the full lineup of Donald Fagen<\/strong>, Walter Becker<\/strong>, Denny Dias<\/strong>, Jim Hodder<\/strong> and Jeff \u201cSkunk\u201d Baxter<\/strong>. Future albums would be recorded by Becker, Fagen and hired studio musicians.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pretzel Logic<\/span><\/em> was a top 10 hit for Steely Dan, peaking at #8 on the <\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/em> 200.\u00a0\u00a0It<\/span>\u00a0featured the hit single \u201cRicki Don\u2019t Lose That Number,\u201d which was the highest charting single of the band\u2019s career, hitting #4 on the <\/span>Billboard <\/span><\/em>Hot 100.<\/span><\/p>\n

The album\u00a0went on to be certified Platinum by the RIAA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steely Dan, which these days\u00a0consists of Fagen and a group of touring musicians, is still out on the road. They are currently opening for the Eagles<\/strong> on their Long Goodbye Tour, which hits Hollywood, Florida, on March 1 and 2.<\/span><\/p>\n
