He\u2019s now revealed that Parkinson\u2019s disease is what\u2019s been keeping him from performing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFans will have become very aware that for some time now, I have not been performing onstage with the band,\u201d\u00a0Jones shared in a statement. \u201cSeveral years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease. I want everyone to know that I am doing alright. However, I\u2019ve always liked to be at my best when performing onstage, and sadly, at present, I find that a bit difficult.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jones notes that while he hasn\u2019t been performing, he\u2019s still very much a part of Foreigner, working behind the scenes with the group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cParkinson\u2019s is a daily struggle; several of my friends are also dealing with the disease,\u201d he continues. \u201cThe important thing is to persevere with the loving support of my family, and remind myself of the wonderful career I\u2019ve had in music.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He went on to thank Foreigner fans for their support, noting \u201cit always means so very much to me, especially so at this point in my life.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Foreigner released their self-titled debut album in 1977 and\u00a0went on to sell over 80 million records worldwide. They have nine top 10 hits, one #1 album, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">4<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, and one #1 single, \u201cI Want To Know What Love Is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Earlier this month\u00a0Foreigner was nominated for induction into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame.
