{"id":28871,"date":"2024-02-26T18:03:22","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T18:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/foreigners-lou-gramm-shares-his-gratitude-over-bands-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-nomination\/"},"modified":"2024-02-26T18:03:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T18:03:22","slug":"foreigners-lou-gramm-shares-his-gratitude-over-bands-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-nomination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/foreigners-lou-gramm-shares-his-gratitude-over-bands-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-nomination\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreigner\u2019s Lou Gramm shares his gratitude over band\u2019s Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame nomination"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-02-26\/M_ForeignerRRHOF_022624.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Courtesy of the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Former<strong> Foreigner\u00a0<\/strong>frontman\u00a0<strong>Lou Gramm <\/strong>is speaking out regarding the band\u2019s recent nomination for the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI wanted to share my gratitude to the Rock Hall of Fame for this nomination, <strong>Mick Jones<\/strong> and I have waited a long time for this,\u201d he <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C3wKwZNOIjk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>writes on Instagram<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">. \u201cThank you to my friends in the entertainment industry and fans alike for their generous support in voting for us, keeping Foreigner in the Top 3 since voting commenced.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He adds, \u201cYou have been the reason <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/foreigner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1 s2\"><strong>#Foreigner<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> has had so many multi-platinum albums, Billboard Hot 100 hits and is the most played classic rock band on radio.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In\u00a0an attached video, Gramm also acknowledged Jones\u2019 \u201ccourage\u201d following the recent announcement of his Parkinson\u2019s disease diagnosis and thanked those in the industry who worked to get them the nomination.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gramm then gave a shoutout to <strong>Mark Ronson<\/strong>, Jones&#8217; stepson, who posted a video featuring\u00a0<strong>Slash<\/strong>, <strong>Jack Black<\/strong>, <strong>Josh Homme<\/strong>, <strong>Chad Smith<\/strong> and <strong>Dave Grohl<\/strong>, making the case for why Foreigner should be in the Hall of Fame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cNow I&#8217;ve seen a lot of the videos and I&#8217;ve definitely been feeling the buzz,&#8221; he says. &#8220;It&#8217;s really exciting and it means a lot. It means a lot to me and all the guys in the band.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Hall of Fame fan vote is open until April 26; fans can vote for up to seven artists daily.
