An exhibit of previously unseen photos of The Rolling Stones<\/strong> is set to open in London on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Elegantly Waisted exhibit features photos taken by the band\u2019s friend, photographer Tony Sanchez<\/strong>, nicknamed “Spanish Tony.” Tony worked and lived with\u00a0The Stones during the period in the late ’60s when they were recording <\/span>Beggars Banquet<\/span><\/em> and the concert\u00a0film\u00a0<\/span>The Rock & Roll Circus.\u00a0<\/span><\/em>He was also\u00a0with them when they went into exile in the South of France.<\/span><\/p>\n

The photos, which were thought to have been lost, were discovered in a loft in South London. They are described as “the most idiosyncratic shots of the band a collector could hope for.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be happier to be involved in this project,\u201d Oliver Bayliss<\/strong>, owner & founder of Bayliss Rare Books, shares. \u201cI spent months trawling through Tony\u2019s archive \u2013 thousands of negatives and contact sheets \u2013 and am blown away by Tony\u2019s unique eye and the quality of these images. Fans and collectors alike are in for a real treat.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The exhibit, put on by Bayliss Rare Books and\u00a0<\/span>Spanish Tony Media<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, is happening at the J\/M Gallery in Notting Hill from February 28 to March 5.\u00a0Prints of the 27 photos on display will also be available for purchase starting February 28\u00a0on the Bayliss Rare Books <\/span>website<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibit is the latest exciting news for Rolling Stones fans.\u00a0Next up, the band is set to release the live album\u00a0<\/span>The Rolling Stones Live at The Wiltern\u00a0<\/span><\/em>on March 8.
