{"id":28893,"date":"2024-02-28T21:02:29","date_gmt":"2024-02-28T21:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/def-leppard-releasing-40th-anniversary-deluxe-edition-of-pyromania\/"},"modified":"2024-02-28T21:02:29","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T21:02:29","slug":"def-leppard-releasing-40th-anniversary-deluxe-edition-of-pyromania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/def-leppard-releasing-40th-anniversary-deluxe-edition-of-pyromania\/","title":{"rendered":"Def Leppard releasing 40th anniversary deluxe edition of &#8216;Pyromania&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-02-28\/M_DefLeppardPyromania_012023.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Virgin EMI\/Mercury Records<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Def Leppard<\/strong> has announced a deluxe edition of their classic album <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pyromania<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Frontman <strong>Joe Elliott<\/strong> executive produced the new reissue, which drops April 26, and went deep into\u00a0the band&#8217;s\u00a0archives to uncover\u00a0unheard demos that are featured on the release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cA labor of love and I loved every minute of it !!\u201d Elliott shares, noting combing through the vaults to find old demos was a \u201cjourney only few of us are lucky enough to take.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The 40th anniversary edition of <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pyromania<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> will be released\u00a0as a four-CD + Blu-Ray box set featuring\u00a0the original album and a\u00a0full disc of those unheard demos, including\u00a0\u201cPhotograph \u2013 Rough Mix Version (Unfinished Vocal),\u201d which will be released March 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Additionally, the box set includes two live shows, one\u00a0recorded in Los Angeles and another\u00a0in Dortmund, Germany, as well as a Blu-Ray featuring\u00a0an Atmos mix of the album,\u00a05.1\/Stereo and instrumental mixes and five promo videos. There\u2019s also a book\u00a0delving into\u00a0the history of the album and a collection of photos taken by famed photographer <strong>Ross Halfin<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition to the box set, the\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pyromania<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0reissue will be released digitally, as a one-LP half-speed master and on\u00a0two-LP black vinyl and two-LP colored vinyl.\u00a0All formats are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/store.defleppard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>available for preorder<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Released January 1983, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pyromania\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">featured such hit songs as \u201cPhotograph,\u201d \u201cRock of Ages\u201d and \u201cFoolin,\u201d and reached number #2 on the U.S. Album charts.
