Publisher Harper Collins recently revealed that Van Halen<\/strong> drummer Alex Van Halen<\/strong> will be\u00a0releasing a new book, <\/span>Brothers<\/span><\/em>, on October 22, and now a little more information about the\u00a0book has been shared.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

A description of the book has been posted to the <\/span>Van Halen Store<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, detailing what fans should expect from the autobiography.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn this intimate and open account\u2014nothing like any rock-and-roll memoir you’ve ever read\u2014Alex Van Halen shares his personal story of family, friendship, music, and brotherly love in a remarkable tribute to his beloved brother and bandmate,\u201d reads the description,\u00a0noting it’s \u201cAlex Van Halen’s love letter to his younger brother, Edward (Maybe ‘Ed,’ but never ‘Eddie’), written while still mourning his untimely death.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The book, which will include previously unseen photos from Alex\u2019s private collection,\u00a0delves into the brothers’ childhood\u00a0and also includes\u00a0\u201ctales of musical politics, infighting, and plenty of bad-boy behavior.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut mostly, his is a story of brotherhood, music, and enduring love,\u201d\u00a0the description says. \u201cThere has never been an accurate account of them or the band, and Alex wants to set the record straight on Edward’s life and death.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eddie Van Halen passed away October 6, 2020, at\u00a065. Alex\u00a0has mostly stayed out of the public eye and hasn’t\u00a0played music publicly since\u00a0Eddie’s death.<\/p>\n
