A film about the late AC\/DC<\/strong> frontman Bon Scott<\/strong> is in the works, and now, we know who\u2019ll be playing the iconic rocker.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Actor Lee Tiger Halley<\/strong>, who appeared in the Australian Netflix series <\/span>Boy Swallows World<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>has been cast<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to play a young Scott in the film <\/span>The Kid From Harvest Road<\/span><\/em>, which producers warn is\u00a0not a straight-up biopic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Halo Films\u2019 <\/span>description of the movie<\/strong><\/span><\/a> calls it a \u201cfictionalized narrative set in the 1960s\u201d capturing \u201cthe essence\u201d of Scott\u2019s early life in Fremantle, Western Australia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBy drawing inspiration from the stories and atmosphere of the time period, rather than attempting a biopic, the film can offer a more imaginative exploration of Scott’s character and experiences,\u201d the description continues,\u00a0noting the film will allow for \u201ca deeper dive into the influences and events that shaped him as a person and ultimately as the iconic frontman of AC\/DC.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans may have a bit of a wait before they get to see the film, as production is expected to begin early next year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scott was AC\/DC’s frontman from 1974 to his death in 1980, appearing on the band’s first seven albums. He was replaced by Brian Johnson<\/strong>, who remains their frontman to this day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
