There may be a new female supergroup on the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Variety<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> reports that during the 2024 Pop Conference at USC on Friday, March 8, Wendy Melvoin<\/strong> and Lisa Coleman<\/strong>, best known for being part of Prince\u2019s backing band The Revolution<\/strong>, revealed that they\u2019ve been writing music with Eurythmics<\/strong> frontwoman Annie Lennox<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

They didn\u2019t share too many details about the project but suggested it may turn into a band after Melvoin told the audience, \u201cIf you\u2019ve got any good names for a band name for the three of us, that\u2019d be great.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a while since fans have heard any new music from either of these artists. The last album of new material from Lennox was 2007\u2019s <\/span>Songs of Mass Destruction<\/span><\/em>, although she did release a covers album titled\u00a0<\/span>Nostalgia<\/span><\/em>\u00a0in 2014.\u00a0The last album\u00a0Wendy and Lisa released was 2008\u2019s <\/span>White Flags of Winter Chimneys<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
