Paul Simon<\/strong> appeared on <\/span>The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> on Thursday, March 14, and revealed\u00a0there’s one\u00a0Simon & Garfunkel<\/strong> tune he doesn’t particularly care for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Colbert brought up \u201cThe 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin\u2019 Groovy),” from the pair’s 1966 album <\/span>Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme<\/span><\/em>, and discussed how much people love it, but Simon said he doesn\u2019t. In fact, he said, \u201cI loathe that song.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes in shows, if a made an error in some other song, I would sing that song as punishment,\u201d he said. \u201cNo, here\u2019s what it is. I come up to the line and I just don\u2019t want to sing, \u2018Life, I love you. All is groovy.’\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Simon, however, certainly does love plenty of his songs. Colbert asked him which of his songs he\u2019d pick if he had to do a five-song set of tracks he himself wants to play, and he had a hard time sticking to just five.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

At first, he mentioned \u201cGraceland,\u201d \u201cMe and Julio Down by the Schoolyard,\u201d \u201cLate in the Evening\u201d and \u201cMother and Child Reunion,\u201d before adding a few ballads, including, \u201cThe Sound Of Silence,\u201d \u201cThe Boxer\u201d and \u201cStill Crazy After All These Years.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Simon also performed on the episode, treating the audience to \u201c<\/span>Your Forgiveness<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d from his\u00a0latest album,\u00a0<\/span>Seven Psalms<\/span><\/em>, which was released in May.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Simon stopped by Colbert to promote his upcoming two-part Alex Gibney<\/strong>-directed docuseries,\u00a0<\/span>In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon<\/span><\/em>, which premieres March 17 and 24 on MGM+. The series follows Simon\u2019s career journey and\u00a0goes into\u00a0the studio with him as he records\u00a0<\/span>Seven Psalms.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
