The Black Crowes\u2019<\/strong> Rich Robinson<\/strong> has some strong opinions about today\u2019s music, and he isn\u2019t necessarily a fan.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem with a lot of music today is that there\u2019s no humanity in it,\u201d he tells <\/span>The Sun<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> in a new interview. \u201cThere\u2019s a pursuit of perfection and a use of these tools that sucks all human qualities out of it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Robinson\u00a0would rather listen to music that embraced imperfection, suggesting it made songs better.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cListen to a Beatles<\/strong> record – they\u2019re all over the f******place. Same with Led Zeppelin<\/strong> and the Stones<\/strong>. That\u2019s why their records are exciting,\u201d he says. \u201cSome of my favorite moments on my favorite records have f-ups in them. \u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou listen to Zeppelin\u2019s \u2018Since I\u2019ve Been Loving You\u2019 and you hear John Bonham<\/strong>\u2019s squeaky kick-drum. That\u2019s so cool. You hear about the Stones and the chaos that went into making \u2018Exile On Main St.\u2019 in this moldy French villa and it\u2019s 100 degrees,\u201d he continues. \u201cIt\u2019s amazing and it\u2019s dangerous and can fall off the rails at any time but it\u2019s brilliant and it never does. That\u2019s the human element.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Black Crowes just released their first new album in 15 years, <\/span>Happiness Bastards<\/span><\/em>. They will hit the road on the Happiness Bastards tour starting April 2 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
