They released their self-titled debut in 1973,\u00a0featuring\u00a0the tune \u201cDream On,&#8221; which went on to be one of their signature songs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aerosmith\u00a0has had nine top 10 albums, two of which went to #1: 1993\u2019s <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Get A Grip<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> and 1997\u2019s <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Nine Lives<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">. They also had eight top 10 singles, including one #1 song, 1998\u2019s \u201cI Don\u2019t Want to Miss a Thing\u201d from the movie <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Armageddon<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">. Other classic Aerosmith tunes include \u201cSweet Emotion,\u201d \u201cWalk This Way\u201d and \u201cLove in an Elevator.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and in 2012, Tyler and Perry were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Outside of Aerosmith, Tyler was a judge on Fox\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">American Idol\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">for two seasons and released his country-inspired debut solo album,\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">We\u2019re All Somebody from Somewhere<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">,\u00a0in 2016. He also started his own charity, Janie\u2019s Fund, a philanthropic initiative created in partnership with Youth Villages to help young girls who\u2019ve been victims of abuse and neglect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Aerosmith kicked off their final tour, the Peace Out tour, in September, but after only a few shows, it was postponed after Tyler fractured his larynx.
