Two more albums from Pete Townshend<\/strong>‘s solo catalog are set to be reissued on half-speed mastered vinyl.<\/span><\/p>\n

After releasing half-speed reissues of 1977\u2019s <\/span>Rough Mix<\/span><\/em> and 1980\u2019s <\/span>Empty Glass <\/span><\/em>in\u00a0June<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>Townshend is now set to drop 1982\u2019s <\/span>All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and 1985\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>White City (A Novel) <\/span><\/em>on May 17.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Like the first two releases, both albums have been mastered on limited-edition black vinyl by noted producer and engineer\u00a0Jon Astley<\/strong>, who’s also Pete’s former brother-in-law. The half-speed mastering technique produces superior quality vinyl LPs.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes<\/span><\/em>, Pete\u2019s third solo release, featured such songs as “Uniforms (Corp d\u2019Esprit)” and “Face Dances Part 2.\u201d His fourth solo release, <\/span>White City (A Novel),<\/span><\/em> was a concept album set in a low income housing estate near where Pete grew up. Songs on the album include \u201cFace The Face,\u201d which was a top 40 hit for Townshend, and \u201cGive Blood,\u201d which features Pink Floyd<\/strong>\u2019s David Gilmour<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both albums are <\/span>available for preorder<\/strong><\/span><\/a> now.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other Townshend news … the rocker was on <\/span>The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon<\/span><\/em>\u00a0on Tuesday, March 26, to promote <\/span>The Who\u2019s Tommy<\/span><\/em>, which is set to open Thursday, March 28, at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway. Townshend joined the cast for a <\/span>medley of songs<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from the show, including \u201cPinball Wizard,\u201d \u201cSee Me, Feel Me\u201d and \u201cListening To You.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
