{"id":29151,"date":"2024-03-29T03:03:05","date_gmt":"2024-03-29T03:03:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/lou-gramm-reacts-to-efforts-to-get-foreigner-into-the-rock-roll-hall-of-fame\/"},"modified":"2024-03-29T03:03:05","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T03:03:05","slug":"lou-gramm-reacts-to-efforts-to-get-foreigner-into-the-rock-roll-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/lou-gramm-reacts-to-efforts-to-get-foreigner-into-the-rock-roll-hall-of-fame\/","title":{"rendered":"Lou Gramm reacts to efforts to get Foreigner into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-03-28\/Getty_LouGramm_032824.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Rick Diamond\/Getty Images for IEBA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Foreigner<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Lou Gramm<\/strong>\u00a0seems\u00a0impressed by producer <strong>Mark Ronson<\/strong>\u2019s efforts to get the band into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame this year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In February, Ronson, stepson of Foreigner\u2019s <strong>Mick Jones<\/strong>, shared a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C3lJxeQvPUX\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=d57e4992-d399-4e2b-9731-1eea039275d3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>star-studded video<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0featuring artists like <strong>Dave Grohl\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Slash<\/strong>\u00a0declaring their love of the band to try to get them inducted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI think he\u2019s a pretty creative guy, and there hasn\u2019t been anything too boisterous or outlandish,\u201d Gramm tells <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/awards\/foreigner-rock-hall-induction-lou-gramm-1235643869\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Billboard<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a><span class=\"s1\">. \u201cIt\u2019s telling the story the way he sees it, from his vantage point with his stepdad. It makes sense.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ronson even got <strong>Paul McCartney<\/strong> to film a clip, with\u00a0<strong>The Beatles <\/strong>member using some\u00a0colorful language to express his shock that Foreigner isn&#8217;t already in the Hall of Fame. Gramm calls it awesome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThat one I certainly didn\u2019t expect, and if you just see it once you know it was completely off the cuff for him,\u201d he says. \u201cHe said what needed to be said and that was it. I was very impressed and very thankful.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gramm\u00a0tells the mag\u00a0he \u201chad given up\u201d on Foreigner ever getting nominated, sharing, \u201cI was not feeling good that our peers were in years ago and we were completely neglected.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And while\u00a0Gramm believes \u201cthings look pretty good&#8221; they&#8217;ll make it in this year, he\u2019s trying not to get his hopes up. He notes, \u201cI\u2019m patiently waiting to see what happens.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Hall of Fame fan vote is open until April 26 and winners will be announced later that month.
