The Rolling Stones<\/strong> are looking back at their first performance in China with a new video set to premiere on YouTube April 11 at 8 a.m. ET.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band just <\/span>shared a trailer<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for <\/span>From London to Shanghai – The Rolling Stones’ Historic Concert to the Other Side of the World<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0which appears to document what it took to put on their April 2006 concert at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video will feature interviews with The Stones\u2019 longtime production manager Dale \u201cOpie\u201d Skjerseth<\/strong>, as well as the godfather of Chinese rock,\u00a0Cui Juan<\/strong>, who opened the show and joined the band for \u201cWild Horses.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0trailer notes that ahead of the\u00a0show the band\u00a0was given a list of songs they couldn\u2019t play, including \u201cBrown Sugar\u201d and \u201cHonky Tonk Woman,\u201d with Mick Jagger<\/strong> noting that \u201cBeast of Burden\u201d and \u201cLet\u2019s Spend The Night Together\u201d were also on the list. They were, however, allowed to play \u201cB****,\u201d with the video showing a clip of the performance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Stones\u2019 first concert in China was part of their A Bigger Bang tour. They had originally planned to play China three years earlier, but those shows didn\u2019t happen because of the SARS epidemic. They have since returned to China, playing the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena in 2014.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
