Prince<\/strong>\u2019s ’80s-era band The Revolution<\/strong>\u00a0is set to headline two special shows celebrating the 40th anniversary of Prince\u2019s classic album <\/span>Purple Rain<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band \u2014\u00a0Wendy Melvoin<\/strong>, Lisa Coleman<\/strong>, Bobby Z, Brownmark\u00a0<\/strong>and Dr. Fink\u00a0 <\/strong>\u2014\u00a0will take the stage at Minneapolis\u2019 legendary venue First Avenue on Friday, June 21, and Saturday June 22, as part of Paisley Park’s\u00a0<\/span>Celebration 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, which runs from June 20 to June 24.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are honored to celebrate <\/span>Purple Rains<\/span><\/em>\u2019s 40th anniversary and keep the music, legacy and spirit of Prince alive,\u201d The Revolution share.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited for fans to join us for Prince Celebration 2024 and are thrilled to be working with The Revolution and First Avenue in celebrating Prince and the 40th Anniversary of\u00a0<\/span>Purple Rain,<\/span><\/em>\u201d Prince’s former manager and lawyer,\u00a0L. Londell McMillan<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>adds. \u201cIt is an exciting moment, as it was always a top priority to have the team united and aligned together to properly present their legacy with Prince.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tickets for the June 21 show are included in the VIP and general admission Celebration 2024 tickets. Tickets for the June 22 show go on sale Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m. CT.<\/span><\/p>\n
