An early Fleetwood Mac<\/strong> tune has been reimagined by Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong> guitarist Slash<\/strong> for his upcoming blues album, <\/span>Orgy of the Damned<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rocker has covered the Peter Green<\/strong>-penned\u00a0track \u201c<\/span>Oh Well<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,\u201d featuring vocals by country star Chris Stapleton<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“[Stapleton’s] singing cadence and that drawl that he has for this particular song, in my mind\u2019s eye, it sounded perfect,” Slash tells\u00a0<\/span>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>. “I had to get his number and cold call him. And he was really gracious about it and really bent over backwards to help me get it done.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Orgy of the Damned\u00a0<\/span><\/em>is due out May 17 and includes guest spots from\u00a0AC\/DC<\/strong>‘s\u00a0Brian Johnson<\/strong>,\u00a0Iggy Pop<\/strong>,\u00a0ZZ Top<\/strong>‘s\u00a0Billy F Gibbons<\/strong>,\u00a0The Black Crowes<\/strong>‘\u00a0Chris Robinson\u00a0<\/strong>and pop star\u00a0Demi Lovato<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOh Well,\u201d originally released in September 1969, appeared on the\u00a0Fleetwood Mac album <\/span>Then Play On<\/span><\/em>. The tune peaked at #55 in the U.S., making it the first Fleetwood Mac single to hit the Hot 100. It did better in the U.K., where it spent two weeks at #2.<\/span><\/p>\n
