It looks like at least one member of Journey<\/strong> wants to see the band play Las Vegas\u2019 new state-of-the-art venue, Sphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Co-founder and lead guitarist Neal Schon<\/strong>\u00a0posted photos from Phish<\/strong>\u2019s recent residency to <\/span>Facebook<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0commenting that playing the venue is something he could see Journey doing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding\u00a0Phish\u2019s stint, Schon writes, \u201cI called this a long ago after evaluating the Sphere. The whole thing is built for a jam band.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that he could see Journey playing there, noting “all that early material would be explosive with the hits.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

So far there\u2019s no word on whether Journey has any definite plans to play the Sphere. The next band set to take over the venue is\u00a0Dead & Company<\/strong>, who\u2019ll be playing Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from May 16 to July 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Journey is currently on tour and will\u00a0play North Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday. They kick off a summer stadium tour with Def Leppard<\/strong>\u00a0July 6 in St. Louis, Missouri. A complete list of dates can be found at <\/span>journeymusic.com<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
