U2<\/strong> bassist Adam Clayton<\/strong> has confirmed that he and his wife,\u00a0Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho<\/strong>, are no longer together.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter more than 10 years of marriage, musician Adam Clayton and lawyer Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho have amicably divorced,\u201d read a statement provided to ABC\u00a0Audio from the band\u2019s spokesperson. \u201cBoth will continue to be fully involved in the care of their daughter and they request that the family\u2019s privacy be respected.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Clayton and Teixeira de Carvalho, a former human rights lawyer, tied the knot in 2014 in Dublin. They welcomed their first and only child in July 2017.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The marriage was the first and only union for Clayton. He\u00a0was previously engaged to supermodel Naomi Campbell<\/strong> in the early ’90s.<\/span><\/p>\n
