One day we were talking about his new band, The Effect\u2026 He surprisingly mentioned &#8216;It Could Have Been You&#8217; is one of his favorite tracks from that record, I told him I felt the same,\u201d Perry shared. \u201cI then said, why don\u2019t you record it? He asked if I would sing on it if they did, I said&#8230; &#8216;Of course my most precious!'&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI must say, singing on their powerful track brought out a vocal experience in me from years ago !\u201d he adds, noting that he always considered the song a \u201cdiamond in the rough.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The reimagined version of \u201cIt Could Have Been You\u201d will be released May 7 on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vyd.co\/Itcouldhavebeenyou\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>all streaming services<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
