Beatles<\/strong> fans are getting another preview of the documentary <\/span>Let It Be<\/span><\/em> before it premieres Wednesday, May 8, on Disney+.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>latest clip<\/strong><\/span><\/a> revolves around Ringo Starr<\/strong>,\u00a0showing\u00a0him joking around in the studio working on \u201cOctopus\u2019s Garden” with George Harrison<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

Originally released in April 1970,\u00a0<\/span>Let It Be\u00a0<\/span><\/em>takes Beatles fans inside the studio as they recorded their album\u00a0<\/span>Let It Be\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and includes footage from their January 1969 Apple Corps rooftop concert. It was released one month after The Beatles officially broke up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0film hasn’t been available for more than 50 years. In an interview with <\/span>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>, the film’s original director,\u00a0Michael Lindsay-Hogg<\/strong>,\u00a0describes the journey of the\u00a0picture\u00a0as \u201ca long and winding road,\u201d a reference to the <\/span>Let It Be<\/span><\/em> track, noting that since it came out a month after The Beatles broke up,\u00a0people weren’t excited\u00a0to see it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt disappeared, and no one really cared if it came out again, because there were no Beatles anymore,\u201d he says. \u201cThere were four people, but they weren\u2019t Beatles anymore.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The association with The Beatles’ breakup led many to form negative opinions of the movie without even seeing it, but Lindsay-Hogg is excited that it’s getting a new chance to win over audiences.<\/p>\n

“Sometimes things go your way in life, and sometimes they don\u2019t. But I got very lucky twice with this,” he says. “I did it originally, and then I got beat, but then it comes out again. So that\u2019s a good conclusion to that story.”<\/p>\n
