The Beatles <\/strong>documentary\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Let it Be<\/span><\/em>\u00a0is now streaming on Disney+, and in a new interview,\u00a0Ringo Starr<\/strong> admits he wasn\u2019t really a fan of the film when it first came out.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was always moaning about the original film, because there was no real joy in it,\u201d he tells <\/span>The Daily Beast<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The film follows The Beatles as they record what would wind up being their final album, <\/span>Let It Be<\/span><\/em>;\u00a0they broke up one month before the film\u2019s release. In one scene, Paul McCartney<\/strong> and George Harrison<\/strong> are caught having an argument, which Ringo describes as \u201cthis litter downer incident.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut that\u2019s just how it was; four guys in a room, you know?\u201d he says. \u201cYou\u2019re bound to have a few ups and downs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to Peter Jackson<\/strong>\u2019s 2021 Disney+ docuseries,\u00a0<\/span>The Beatles: Get Back<\/span><\/em>, fans have a bit more context as to what happened during the filming of the doc, and Ringo thinks that makes <\/span>Let It Be<\/span><\/em> a better experience this time around.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow it\u2019s got a start, a middle, and a finish. The start is very slow, and then we get into creating, and then we\u2019re at it and then we\u2019re out,\u201d he says. \u201cI love it. But I\u2019m in it, of course, so six hours is never long enough.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
