Now, we know who will be taking his place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Styx\u00a0just announced that <strong>Terry Gowan<\/strong>, the brother of the band\u2019s current keyboardist and vocalist <strong>Lawrence Gowan<\/strong>,\u00a0has landed the job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a statement, Terry\u00a0says getting to be Styx&#8217;s bassist\u00a0is \u201cwithin an honor and somewhere beyond a dream come true,\u201d noting, \u201chere\u2019s to many years ahead on the Styx adventure!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Terry has played with his brother in his previous band <strong>Gowan<\/strong>\u00a0and has also recorded with the likes of <strong>Tony<\/strong> <strong>Levin<\/strong>, <strong>Yes<\/strong>&#8216;\u00a0<strong>Jon Anderson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Rush<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<strong>Alex Lifeson<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Styx founding member <strong>Tommy Shaw<\/strong> shares that\u00a0they are looking forward to introducing Terry to their audience noting, \u201cAre you ready to rock? We are too! See you soon!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Styx is set to launch a Canadian tour in Moncton on Friday, May 17, and will then return to the States for their Renegades &amp; Juke Box Heroes tour with <strong>Foreigner<\/strong> and <strong>John Waite<\/strong>,\u00a0kicking off June 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
