Van Halen<\/strong>\u2019s ninth studio album,\u00a0<\/span>For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge<\/span><\/em>, their third with frontman Sammy Hagar<\/strong>, is getting an expanded reissue from Rhino this summer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The reissue, dropping July 12, will include the remastered original album, along with an album of rarities and live tracks, including previously unreleased alternative versions of \u201cRight Now\u201d and \u201cThe Dream Is Over.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The live tracks come from Van Halen\u2019s December 4, 1991, Dallas stop on the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge tour and include performances of songs like \u201cRight Now,\u201d \u201cPoundcake\u201d and \u201cPleasure Dome,\u201d along with songs from previous Hagar albums <\/span>5150<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>OU812. <\/span><\/em>It also includes Hagar performing the David Lee Roth<\/strong>-sung track \u201cPanama.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The previously unreleased live recording of \u201c<\/span>Poundcake<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d is available now via <\/span>digital services<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The expanded edition is made up of two LPs, with an etching of the Van Halen logo on the fourth side, plus two CDs and a Blu-Ray that will include the Dallas concert, along with the official music videos for \u201cRight Now,\u201d winner of the 1992 MTV VMA for Video of the Year, \u201cPoundcake,\u201d \u201cRunaround\u201d and \u201cTop of the World.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rhino will also release an exclusive bundle that includes four 7-inch singles, featuring \u201cPoundcake\u201d\/\u201cPleasure Dome,\u201d \u201cTop Of The World\u201d\/\u201cIn \u2018N\u2019 Out,\u201d \u201cRight Now\u201d (Organ Version)\/\u201cMan On A Mission\u201d and \u201cRight Now\u201d (Guitar Version)\/\u201cThe Dream Is Over\u201d (Instrumental Version).<\/span><\/p>\n

Released June 17, 1991, <\/span>For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge<\/span><\/em> debuted at #1 on the <\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/em> 200, where it spent three weeks. The album was the third of four #1s Van Halen had with Hagar, the others being 1986\u2019s <\/span>5150<\/span><\/em>, 1988\u2019s <\/span>OU812<\/span><\/em> and 1995\u2019s <\/span>Balance<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
