{"id":29665,"date":"2024-06-05T15:00:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T15:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/deluxe-edition-of-talking-heads-stop-making-sense-soundtrack-getting-second-vinyl-release\/"},"modified":"2024-06-05T15:00:53","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T15:00:53","slug":"deluxe-edition-of-talking-heads-stop-making-sense-soundtrack-getting-second-vinyl-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/deluxe-edition-of-talking-heads-stop-making-sense-soundtrack-getting-second-vinyl-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Deluxe edition of Talking Heads\u2019 &#8216;Stop Making Sense&#8217; soundtrack getting second vinyl release"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-06-05\/M_TalkingHeadsStopMakingSense_060524.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Rhino<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Talking Heads<\/strong> fans are getting another chance to get their hands on the deluxe edition of the <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Stop Making Sense<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> soundtrack that was released in August to help celebrate the film\u2019s 40th anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Originally released digitally and as a limited-edition vinyl, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Stop Making Sense (Deluxe Edition)<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> features the entire concert for the very first time, including two tracks that didn\u2019t make the original album: \u201cCities\u201d and \u201cBig Business \/ I Zimbra.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The release will be available again starting July 26\u00a0on two-LP black vinyl through Rhino.com, and on two-LP crystal clear vinyl at Barnes and Noble, with both featuring a 12-page booklet with liner notes from Talking Heads members <strong>David Byrne<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tina Weymouth<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Chris Frantz<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Jerry Harrison<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It will also be available as a two-CD\/Blu-Ray set that comes with a Dolby Atmos mix of the complete concert, along with the\u00a028-page booklet that was included in the original deluxe edition release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All versions are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/th.lnk.to\/SMSReissue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>available for preorder<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Directed by\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Demme<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Stop Making Sense\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">is considered by many to be the greatest concert film of all time. It was recorded over three shows at Hollywood\u2019s Pantages Theatre in December 1983. In 2021 it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Tuesday, all four members of Talking Heads returned to the Pantages Theatre for a screening and a Q&amp;A hosted by <strong>Andy Richter<\/strong>.
