Billy Joel\u00a0<\/strong>landed at #1 with his seventh studio album,\u00a0<\/span>Glass Houses<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Influenced in part by new wave music, it featured, in Billy\u2019s words, \u201cbigger, louder, faster, shorter and punchier\u201d material.<\/span><\/p>\n

Four tunes off the album became Top 40 hits, including \u201cIt\u2019s Still Rock and Roll to Me,\u201d which was Joel\u2019s first#1 single. Other hits included \u201cYou May Be Right,\u201d \u201cSometimes a Fantasy\u201d and “Don\u2019t Ask Me Why.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Glass Houses\u00a0<\/span><\/em>remained on top of the charts for six weeks and went on to be certified seven-times Platinum by the RIAA.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also earned Joel his fifth Grammy, winning Best Rock Male Vocal Performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Billy\u00a0is set to wrap his 10-year residency at New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden on July 25. He also has upcoming shows booked with Stevie Nicks<\/strong>, Rod Stewart<\/strong> and Sting<\/strong>.
