The Kinks<\/strong>\u2019 Dave Davies<\/strong> is upset that someone is\u00a0trying to auction\u00a0off his Rock\u00a0& Roll Hall of Fame statue.<\/span><\/p>\n

After seeing the listing, Davies took to social media to let people know that he did not approve of the sale.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRegarding ebay listing for my RRHOF award statue has been made without my consent,\u201d <\/span>he wrote<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. \u201cI lost track of my award years ago and didn\u2019t know where it was. If the person bought it at a storage unit it may have been [around] the time of my 2004 stroke when I was incapacitated.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that he has since made a full recovery from his stroke and is upset nobody contacted\u00a0him about the trophy, sharing, \u201cThis auction makes me very sad.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve written to the seller and are waiting to hear back,\u201d <\/span>he concluded<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t want to have to pay 12 grand to get my own award backBut maybe we can work something out more reasonable.”<\/span><\/p>\n

And it seems the post may have worked. Colony Records, which buys and sells rock\u00a0‘n’ roll memorabilia on eBay, replied to Davies\u2019 post, <\/span>writing<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, \u201cfollow me and shoot me a message on X we will work it out.\u201d Davies replied, \u201cOk thank you.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Davies and the rest of The Kinks were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.<\/span><\/p>\n
