It will also include interviews with<\/span>\u00a0<strong>Experience<\/strong> bassist <strong>Billy Cox<\/strong>,\u00a0original Electric Lady staff members and Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Famer <strong>Steve Winwood<\/strong>, who took part in Hendrix&#8217;s first session at the studio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Opened in 1970, Electric Lady Studios was the first commercial studio owned by an artist. It was constructed specifically for Hendrix, who died just weeks after its opening. The studio went on to be a go-to spot for musicians, with artists such as <strong>John Lennon<\/strong>, <strong>David Bowie<\/strong>, <strong>Taylor Swift<\/strong>, <strong>Lady Gaga<\/strong> and more recording there.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0will open in\u00a0New York City on Aug. 9, with a wider release to follow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
