I think that&#8217;s what people want to hear,&#8221; she says. &#8220;We have a short window to present to the people some exciting music and I think they&#8217;ll enjoy it.\u00a0They&#8217;ll definitely dance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Being in D.C. means Sheila won\u2019t be spending July Fourth with her family, sharing that her typical\u00a0Independence Day\u00a0includes a barbecue, with her mom making her special potato salad, which\u00a0Sheila says \u201cis the best ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She says, &#8220;Traditionally we&#8217;re outside and barbecuing and playing games, and just having fun with the family and some friends.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>A Capitol Fourth<\/em>, America&#8217;s longest-running live national Fourth of July\u00a0TV\u00a0tradition, will air\u00a0Thursday\u00a0at 8 p.m. ET and will feature a telecast of the fireworks live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Other performers include <strong>Smokey Robinson<\/strong>, <strong>Sister Sledge\u00a0<\/strong>featuring\u00a0<strong>Slegendary<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fantasia<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Darren Criss<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fitz\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Noelle\u00a0<\/strong>from\u00a0<strong>Fitz and The Tantrums<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>National Symphony Orchestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
