Actor Clive Owen<\/strong> has revealed that David Bowie<\/strong> was a huge inspiration for him wanting to become an actor.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBowie probably has more to do with me being an actor than any actors,\u201d Owen told<\/span> <\/span><\/em>Variety<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0<\/span><\/em>the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe showed me that you can create worlds,\u201d Clive says. \u201cMy imagination was fired \u2014 that was the beginning of going into acting. It was Bowie that provoked my understanding of the art.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Variety<\/span><\/em> notes that Owen\u00a0said he has no intention of ever trying to play Bowie in a project.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Bowie, who passed away in 2016, is known mostly for music, he did dabble in acting throughout his career. He appeared in such films as 1976\u2019s <\/span>The Man Who Fell To Earth<\/span><\/em>, and 1986\u2019s <\/span>Absolute Beginners<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>Labyrinth<\/span><\/em>, as well as Martin Scorsese<\/strong>\u2019s 1988 film <\/span>The Last Temptation of Christ<\/span><\/em>, 2006\u2019s <\/span>The Prestige<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and more.<\/span><\/p>\n
