She told<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/features\/daisy-edgar-jones-twisters-carole-king-biopic-1236060598\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Variety<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> that the\u00a0biopic\u00a0is \u201cno longer happening,\u201d although sources tell the trade it\u2019s still in development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI love Carole and I love that story, but it was a year ago that they decided [to no longer pursue it],\u201d she said. \u201cI think it\u2019s a gorgeous story, and the script probably needs a little more time in the oven.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Daisy says she learned to play piano for the film, and even met Carole on Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI was like, \u2018This is the coolest thing ever,&#8217;\u201d she says of connecting with King. \u201cShe really enjoyed <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Normal People<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, so she was a fan of that and I was a fan of hers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Daisy\u00a0adds, \u201cI get so starstruck by musicians, much more than actors, and Carole was one where it was quite hard to keep my cool.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
