It\u2019s a myth that Sting and I fought all the time. I broke his rib once, but we were play-fighting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Police are set to reissue their final and most successful album, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Synchronicity,<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> on July 26, and Copeland describes recording the album as \u201cvery dark.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe beat the crap out of each other,\u201d he says. \u201cWe\u2019ve laughed about it since, but going back into that black hole isn\u2019t something we tended towards.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The super deluxe edition of the reissue includes 55 previously unreleased tracks \u2014 alternate takes, instrumentals, demos and live recordings \u2014 and Copeland is hinting at that other albums may get similar treatment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He notes, \u201cBut it was such fun listening to the demos and songs that didn\u2019t make it, so there will be more reissues.
