John Lennon<\/strong>\u2019s son Sean Lennon<\/strong> is opening up about the responsibility he feels\u00a0to keep his father\u2019s legacy alive.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0<\/span>The Times<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>,<\/span><\/em> Sean talks about the recently released remix of Lennon\u2019s 1973 solo album, <\/span>Mind Games<\/span><\/em>, and\u00a0shares why it was such a personal project for him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing that distinguishes my dad\u2019s solo career is how personal his lyrics became,\u201d he shares. \u201cIt is like a diary, and it is my duty to bring attention to my father\u2019s music. Not just my duty to him, but a duty to the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He adds, \u201cWith the world as it is now, people have forgotten so many things that I never imagined could be forgotten. I refuse to let that happen to this music \u2014 it means too much to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mind Games \u2013 The Ultimate Collection,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>which was\u00a0released on July 12 and included\u00a0six different listening experiences, featuring unreleased outtakes, stripped down mixes, instrumentals, demos, rehearsals and even what\u2019s described as \u201cstudio chatter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
