To have spent time as part of his band the &#8216;Blues Breakers&#8217; led the three of us, Peter Green, John McVie, and myself to form Fleetwood Mac back in 1967!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He adds, \u201cHe is owed much gratitude from so many in the musical world. John Mayall, you will be missed!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mayall\u2019s <strong>Bluesbreakers<\/strong>\u00a0formed in 1963, and different incarnations of the band featured artists who would go on to be huge rock stars of the &#8217;60s and &#8217;70s. In addition to the three future Fleetwood Mac members, rockers like <strong>Eric Clapton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>The Rolling Stones<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0<strong>Mick Taylor<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Cream<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Bruce<\/strong>\u00a0played in the band.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mayall\u00a0is due to be inducted into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame in October in the Music Influence category.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
