I\u2019m joking, of course,\u201d Stevie tells <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/features\/steven-van-zandt-interview-bruce-springsteen-documentary-b2587715.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span class=\"s2\"><strong>The Independent<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a><span class=\"s2\">. \u201cMy bookie\u2019s gonna love him. I\u2019m joking again!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">On a more serious note, Van Zandt said, \u201cI\u2019m not sure how accurate that is, first of all. But I don\u2019t think it matters, honestly. The fact is: this is what we do. And so the money has absolutely no factor. It hasn\u2019t affected [him] for many, many years. Ever since, really, [1984\u2019s]\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s2\">Born in the U.S.A.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s2\">What\u2019s that, 40 years?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Van Zandt notes, \u201cSo no matter how many zeros is on the bank account, it doesn\u2019t make any difference!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Bruce, Stevie and the\u00a0E Street Band are set to kick off the next U.S. leg of their tour on Aug. 15 in Pittsburgh.
