A new bonus track from the recently released John Lennon<\/strong> box set <\/span>Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection<\/span><\/em>\u00a0has been released.\u00a0It gives fans some insight into the\u00a0<\/strong>tune\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m The Greatest,\u201d which was recorded in 1973 and was the first reunion of Lennon, Ringo Starr<\/strong> and George Harrison<\/strong> since the breakup of The Beatles<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I\u2019m The Greatest (Ultimate Mix)<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d is <\/span>now streaming<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for the very first time and features John\u2019s guide vocals from the original recording session.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tune, written by Lennon, appeared on Ringo\u2019s self-titled 1973 solo album. It also featured longtime Beatles\u2019 associates\u00a0Klaus Voorman\u00a0<\/strong>on bass and\u00a0Billy Preston\u00a0<\/strong>on organ.<\/span><\/p>\n

The song is one of two digital bonus tracks on the digital-only <\/span>Mind Games (The Ultimate Mixes)<\/span><\/em> release. The other is the tune \u201cRock \u2018N\u2019 Roll People.\u201d Both are also hidden tracks on the <\/span>Mind Games \u2013 The Ultimate Collection<\/span><\/em> box set, with even more to come, as new hidden tracks will be released digitally every two weeks up until Oct. 9, which would have been Lennon\u2019s 84th birthday.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if that\u2019s not enough, stripped back arrangements of songs will be released digitally as part of <\/span>Mind Games (The Elemental Mixes)<\/span><\/em>. The first of those is the unreleased track \u201cYou Are Here (Out-take, Take 4),” which is <\/span>out now<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
