Pete Townshend<\/strong>\u00a0is giving\u00a0fans\u00a0of The Who <\/strong>hope\u00a0<\/strong>that another tour may be possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although he and bandmate Roger Daltrey<\/strong> have made differing comments on whether the band will ever tour again, Pete\u00a0reveals in a new interview with <\/span>The Daily Beast<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0he’s open to the idea of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna happen with The Who. I\u2019m hoping Roger and I can find some common ground and find some way to work again, possibly without an orchestra, because I think we\u2019ve done that,\u201d Pete says. \u201cBut also, there\u2019s this sense that we\u2019re in the last tour period of our career.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He adds, \u201cAre we just hoping to do what Bob Dylan<\/strong> does and just keep going? I\u2019m encouraged by seeing what Roger\u2019s doing in his solo tour. It seems to me that if we put a small band together and just decided to throw s*** at the wall, it might be great.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Pete says right now he and Roger \u201cdon\u2019t talk,\u201d noting that \u201cit might be difficult to land on something that we both share an interest in. But it\u2019s there for the taking, I think.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But Pete has no plans to\u00a0convince\u00a0Roger to hit the road.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not gonna try to bully Roger to do anything,\u201d he says. \u201cI don\u2019t want to have the job that I used to have around the time of <\/span>Quadrophenia<\/span><\/em>, which is bullying everybody in The Who to do exactly what I want to do.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnyway, I\u2019m hopeful. I\u2019m certainly not saying that we won\u2019t do anything, but Roger and I do have a bit of a river to cross,\u201d he concludes. \u201cAnd once we cross that river, we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
